A young electric car startup Pravaig from Bangalore announced the premiere of its second model – a luxury crossover. On the published teaser, it looks a bit angular and almost ready for production. The car has heavily sloped front and rear windshields, flared front fenders and two glass sunroofs. On the bow and stern, thin LED strips of optics flowing onto the sidewalls are visible.
The novelty is promised a range of more than 500 km, a top speed of more than 200 km / h and the possibility of fast charging. Like the Extinction electric sedan presented in July 2020, the future serial crossover will receive a PM 2.5 air filtration system and a premium audio system from Devialet. Previously, Pravaig said that the novelty will be able to claim a “five stars” in the safety rating. How the startup expects to achieve this result remains to be seen.
Information about the power plant of the crossover, in all likelihood, will be announced already during the official premiere. According to some reports, it will be the same 204-horsepower electric motor and 96 kWh battery as the previously introduced Extinction sedan. In the latter, such a battery is replenished from a high-speed charging station to 80% capacity in 30 minutes.
Pravaig was founded in 2011 in Jaipur as an off-road buggy manufacturer. It is currently based in Bangalore where it has a corporate office and an engineering center. The Indian startup is backed by the French renewable energy group Eren.
