New Rule by State Government:

 

In the interim, the locale organization of Thoubal in its request gave on January 2, under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Contagious Diseases in Animals Act 2009, informed "controlled zones" for ASF at Kangyambem, Lokchao, Salungpham Mamang Leikai. 

 

Simultaneously, Imphal East District organization in its request on January 4, proclaimed a piggery ranch as "tainted premises" at Nongmaiching Chingkhong(Wakha) territory in the region. 

 

Sale of Pig Banned:

 

The region organizations additionally prohibited the offer of a pig, pork, feed and related things in these "controlled zone" and "contaminated zones" aside from confining the development of pig from where it is kept inside the above region and zone, the orders said.
