A mushroom documentation venture in the woodlands of Northeast India has uncovered 600 assortments of fungi, yet additionally prompted another revelation: a bioluminescent — or light radiating — assortment of mushroom.
The new species — named Roridomyces phyllostachydis — was first located on a wet August night almost a stream in Meghalaya's Mawlynnong in East Khasi Hills locale and later at Krang Suri in West Jaintia Hills region. It is currently one of the 97 known types of bioluminescent fungi on the planet.
