Former Mon NPF office-bearers threaten to file defamation case against Hongnaw

Four ex-office bearers of restriction Naga People's Front (NPF) have taken steps to menace against the party's Mon division general secretary Hongnaw, blaming him for spreading 'false rumors tidbits' about them, and asking him to either tender for a public apology within 7 days or face a defamation case.

While on the other side, the NPF central board wrote to with Mon Deputy Commissioner Thavaseelan K looking for action against 19 suspended party office bearers for their allegation participation in the locking up of Mon division of the party on 10th May.

The ex-NPF office-bearers proclaimed that Hongnaw told a news channel that the seven suspended NPF MLAs hosted pressurized and forced party members to resign, which widespread in social media.

They additionally blamed Hongnaw for claiming that the seven suspended party legislators had arranged a rundown of office bearers without the information of NPF functionaries and forged signatures of central as well as divisional and constituency office bearers, considering it a "criminal case".
