The Meghalaya Cricket Association (MCA) on Sunday declared their team of 15 players and three backup players for the impending Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 prize.
What is Syed Mushtaq Ali Tournament?
The Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy is a Twenty20 cricket championship title in India, coordinated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, among the groups from Ranji Trophy. The 2009-10 season was the debut season for this prize. It is named after a well known Indian cricketer, Syed Mushtaq Ali.
The group is being driven by wicketkeeper-batsman Punit S Bisht, who is a BCCI affirmed Guest Player. Aside from Bisht, there are two other BCCI endorsed Guest Players in the crew — Sanjay Yadav and Ravi Teja. Teja has been named vice-captain for the homegrown T20 competition.
Yadav is the lone player to have represented Meghalaya and be a piece of an Indian Premier League (IPL) establishment. He was gotten by Sunrisers Hyderabad in the last IPL barters.
The Meghalaya cricket crew has had a good run during the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 competition. It was at this competition last season that Meghalaya had crushed Assam and the powerful Mumbai cricket teams.
The Mushtaq Ali prize, which launches the flow homegrown season, is planned to begin on January 10, 2021.
