Assam to Get 200 LPG Stations

First Station in the State:


The State's first CNG station was launched at Dibrugarh by Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal in August 2019. It was implemented by the AGCL. Swargiary further said, "The door-to-door gas pipeline project under the PBGCL and the AGCL is also not lagging behind. The pipe-laying work of the project is set to be completed in the coming nine months. In the coming eight years, we've the target of giving gas connections to 3.21 lakh households in Kamrup and Kamrup (M) districts and one lakh households in the three districts of Barak Valley. The PBGCL will implement the project in these five districts.

Role of AGCL:


"The AGCL has already started its works of the door-to-door gas pipeline project in the other districts of the State." Meanwhile, DNP (Dulianjan-Numaligarh Pipeline) Ltd chairman Rupam Goswami, who was also present at the press meet, said, "The company has made a turnover of Rs 85.15 crore in fiscal 2019-20 and its profit after tax stands at Rs 35.42 crore. The company had a profit after tax of Rs 45.97 crore in fiscal 2018-19, and Rs 32.30 crore in 2017-17. The AGM (Annual General Meeting) of the company held on December 18, 2020 reviewed the financial performance of the company.
