Bongaigaon Refinery conducted various projects in the focal areas of education, health care, sanitation and drinking water services in the vicinity of its unit under its CSR programme.
Taking a step forward for the education of girls, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Bongaigaon District Administration and Indian Oil, Bongaigaon Refinery was signed on January 14 in the Bongaigaon Deputy Commissioner's Chamber for the Construction of Library Building in Birjhora Kanya Mahavidyala, Bongaigaon at the cost of Rs. 25 lakh.
The goal of this project is to promote education among girl students and long-term empowerment of women. The project is expected to finish within three months.
There were several noted persons on this occasion, such as Dr Sadnek Singh, Deputy Commissioner of Bongaigaon, and Bongaigaon Refinery Executive Director Amarendra Kalita.
