The Meghalaya government on Monday chose to open places of worship by the first week of October if the COVID-19 circumstance in the state improves. The government held a gathering with the religious pioneers of different associations under the chairmanship of the Meghalaya CM and the deputy CM.
Taking to Twitter, Conrad K Sangma included that an advisory group involving individuals from faith associations headed by the Chief Secretary would be established to return to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to be set up for the equivalent.
This is the third gathering of the religious pioneers with the administration. On June 5, the legislature had reported that they had chosen to resume worship places from June 14. In any case, on June 9, the administration turned around its choice and reported that the spots will be opened distinctly for wedding functions.
