Sikkim Government Announces Scholarship For 50 IAS Aspirants


Minister of Education Kunga Nima Lepcha has announced a 47-lake scholarship that has provided an opportunity for 50 deserving and talented Sikkim IAS aspirants to receive free cost coaching from ALS IAS.

As part of the ALS CSR Program for Sikkim Youth, National Sales Head ALS Prateek Bhattacharya also declared a scholarship worth 23 lakes for 25 applicants.

This announcement together created an opportunity for Sikkim's 75 IAS aspirants to take advantage of the scholarship sponsored by the Sikkim and ALS government.

The Scholarship Exam will be held in all Sikkim District Headquarters on December 1, 2019, under the control of each district's District Collector.

Application forms will be available in all District Collector's office from 19 November 2019, with the last application date being 28 November. Exam results will be obtained on December 5th and batches will begin at the Nar Bahadur Bhandari Degree College on December 10th.

Nevertheless, in order to apply for this Scholarship, there is a minimum age requirement where the applicant should be born before 1 August 2000.

Selected candidates will be trained through cutting-edge VSAT Technology to give LIVE transmission of classes on ALS Delhi campus and students will learn from the country's best IAS mentors.

ALS will also send dedicated Delhi educational mentors to Gangtok to track, encourage and direct the students during their practice as well as monthly visits to inspire the candidates by IAS / IPS officers in Sikkim.
