Naga Youths make paper bags to beat plastic in Peren

Peren District Administration in association with the Community Avenue Network (CAN) Youth conducted a training program on making paper bags at Town Hall Peren on October 23.

The training was held with an aim to encourage people to use paper bags and reduce the excessive use of single-use plastics, which are polluting the environment and threatening human health.

On the occasion, CAN Youth Secretary Kivitoli highlighted the importance of eco-friendly paper bags and their significance to beat plastics use.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Peren, Moa Sangtam and Sub Divisional Officer (Civil) were also present at the program.

Altogether 27 women and 3 men were trained to make paper bags from CAN Youth.
