On Sunday, at Bana near Seppa, Arunachal Pradesh minister of sports and youth affairs Mama Natung inaugurated a branch of St. Xavier's College.
The minister was accompanied by Rev Fr Richard Jarain, DDSE Kata Rangmo, Bana EAC Pooza Sonam Natung, Suren Natung, WRD executive engineer, and a host of HoDs and other government officials.
At the end of the day, Natung called on all stakeholders to shoulder responsibilities to improve the education sector and asked them to go the extra mile for the district's socio-cultural and educational development.
The minister also urged parents to give importance to their children's better education, reiterating that education is the most important social sector on which a society's development depends.
“Education is the basic building block of foundation for any society to become a developed one,” he said.
“Until and unless this sector is developed, the mentality of the people will not develop and hence, the society will not develop,” he added.
