On Thursday, Arunachal Pradesh Governor Brig (Retired) Dr. BD Mishra urged Minister Tana Tedir of State Education to focus on elementary education.
Speaking at a program at Raj Bhavan on the occasion of Children's Day, the governor said, "With better education for children at the primary level, particularly in remote areas of the state, we will build a strong foundation for our future generations." He also urged the minister, who was present on the occasion, to streamline the' Mid-Day meal ' scheme, recover illegally-occupied schools.
On Children's Day, the governor said parents must introspect whether they provide their wards with proper education and living standards.
The governor advised the parents to regularly send their kids to school and to ensure timely vaccinations.
He said the government of the state is also responsible for the children's well-being, education, health, and physical activities.
Brid (Retired) Mishra called on the kids to become the country's good citizens.
Minister of Education Tedir advised the children to keep the environment clean and preserve it.
At the occasion, the students presented a program.
