The information was publicized by the Union Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER), Jitendra Singh on Sunday 4th August 2019. A 100-day action plan has been formulated for the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (DoNER).

The Indian Govt. to launch 200 projects worth Rs 3,000 Crore in Northeast within 100 days of new Modi govt. coming to power.

Among the initiatives the (DoNER) has taken in the 100 days action plan is to sanction or start or complete or operationalize 200 projects worth about Rs 3000 Crore which comes with an average of 2 projects Rs 30 crore per day. He said that the Narendra Modi govt. has always accorded top priority to the “hitherto neglected” areas of the country- The Northeastern region is being one of them.

The center, Under North East State Road Improvement Project (RIP), sanctions have been accorded for release of Rs 9 crore for road projects for 50 days since the formation of the government.
