Assam Transport minister Chandra Mohan Patowary on Monday revealed that six new flyovers will be constructed in the state.
During a meeting of the State Road SafetyCouncil on Monday, Patowary announced that three flyovers will be constructed in Guwahati.
The three flyovers will be constructed at Lokhra, Garchuk, and Basistha Chariali area.
The other three flyovers will be constructed in Nagaon, Bongaigaon, and Dibrugarh Districts of Assam.
The transport minister also informed that the project of the construction of these flyovers has been handed to the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI).
He also revealed that the Detailed Project Report is in the making and is expected to be completed by September.
After the DPR, the construction work is expected to be started in October.
