The Rabindranath Tagore University (RTU) in Assam’s Hojai district can begin post-graduate courses in six disciplines from the 2020-21 term.
Subjects:
The university can begin post-graduate courses in English, Bengali, politics, botany, chemistry and zoological science.
Vice-chancellor of RTU, Amalendu Chakrabarty aforementioned that continuous efforts by the university administration to introduce PG courses have finally yielded results.
Social worker Kamal Dutta aforementioned, “The regime has finally allowed the university to start PG courses, which can profit students of the district vastly.”
“The university has currently gained its full stature,” he said.
The university was erstwhile the Hojai faculty established in 1964 so that native students may avail of quality educational activity while not having to maneuver out of their native place.
Role of Assam Government:
The Assam government by associate degree order in 2017 upgraded the school to the RTU to accelerate the pace of education within the district.
