The greenfield air terminal at Hollongi, close to Arunachal Pradesh’s capital Itanagar, would be finished by November in 2022, authorities said. The state-claimed Airports Authority of India (AAI) undertook a Rs 650 crore undertaking to build up the greenfield air terminal.
The Hollongi airport, 15 km from Itanagar, will be the third air terminal in the state. AAI authorities said that with a territory of 4100 sq meters, the new homegrown airport structure of the Hollongi Airport would have the option to deal with 200 travellers for every day during top hours. The air terminal task would be finished by November 2022.
The nearest airport being Lilabari air terminal in Assam is a ways off of 80 km and takes around three hours to reach by the street.
